This ridged box is made from translucent white porcelain with gilt around the edges, a ridged lid and a hand painted sardine as the handle. The box and lid are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs -- some minor wear is showing on the gilt. The box is stamped with \"Victoria Austria Carlsbad\" indicating the box was made in Austria (late 1800s to early 1900s) from porcelain that came from Carlsbad in the Czech Republic. The box measures 5 inches long, 4 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall. The lid measures 5.25 inches long, 4.25 inches wide and .75 inches tall. The box\'s total weight is 15.4 ounces.
