A genuine antique from the Victorian era. This large rhodolite garnet is beautifully faceted and the stone is almost flawlessly clear to the naked eye. Not only is the setting In remarkable shape for its age the detail and craftsmanship are deeply etched in solid 14kt rose gold. It is beautifully unique in that from almost any angle it refracts the light making it appear to glow deep within. Eyes cannot help but to be drawn to the flashes of purplish fire. It reminds me of when you see something out of the corner of your eye and immediately you turn to find the culprit only to be mesmerized by its gorgeous color. My best guess is that it is at least 6 carats of NATURAL EARTH MINED GARNET gemstone. It is a size 4 but can easily be resized by a professional jeweler to fit any size finger.
