A Beautiful super rare and highly collectible Victorian, late 19th century Silver and Gold split Pearl, Diamond and Black Boulder Opal Crescent Brooch. Designed as a split pearl curved line, to the old-cut rose-cut diamond details with 3 Cushion shape Black bolder Opals. The Opals measurements are: 5.91mm-6.01mm; 5.45mm-4.16mm; 5.35mm-4.20mm. The confetti like pattern with all the colors of the rainbow: blue, yellow, sunset orange, neon green, purple and red, lots of red - depending on how the flashes of colors are viewed from different angles. The Old Rose-cut diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond weight is 0.55ct. The color ranges F-J, SI clarity overall. Individual diamonds are too small to accurately assess color/clarity grades. Length 28mm, Width 31mm. Gross weight 6.6g. The split pearls are fairly well matched some may be replacement. The color varies slightly from a creamy white to silvery white. Condition: Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discoloration in keeping with general wear. Evidence of repair or alteration to the clasp and hinge. Black Opals might have been added at later time. Some split pearls show peeling and small chips. Beautiful and unique opals that have the brilliance of color, not found in any other gemstone. Boulder Opal is found in Queensland, Australia.
