A fine example of a Victorian era, mid-late 19th century waistcoat/weskit button. The button is of opaque high gloss black glass. It has a molded cameo of a helmeted Roman soldier facing left. A two piece button. The plain brass rim is crimped over a tin back with a thin wire loop shank. The button measures 10/16ths inch in diameter. In excellent condition. The button has not been cleaned.
