wonderful match holder, match striker with fine spaniel dog guarding a champagne bottle! the dog has that great Victorian expression, carefully painted eyes and nose..a bit serious looking. quite grand!Measures almost 2. 5 inches tall with nice tan brown coloring on the dog, some green on the base almost hasa moss appearance, gold handle and bit of gold on the border of the match holder. small bit of wear on the paint..numbered on the back 5832...the Champagne bottle is German .. lovely antique
