Abeautiful quality ornate scrolled Antique gold metal watch chain fobwax seal C1850\'s with engraved chalcedony intaglio showing the bustof a man with a comet or meteor behind his head. The style of dressand hair suggests an historic person, possibly Charles Messier whowas obsessed with discovering and studying comets. The quality of theengraving on the intaglio is of exceptional quality. The actual fobis unmarked so I am not selling it as gold as it could be pinchbeck,brass or similar.

Theseal is in very good condition for its age. The detail on theintaglio is difficult to photograph and is much finer in reality thanis depicted in the images with this listing.
