Victorian ladies leather and waxed cloth maroon mourning fan. This color was acceptable during mourning in Victorian times. The wooden handles are covered with leather, and they are not in very good shape. The leather guards that surround the closed fan are in better shape than the handles. The fabric of the fan is in very good condition. The brass clasp works perfectly. There is no makers mark. This fan is in pretty good shape for its age.
