This sale is for a charming Victorian Opaline Vase presented in an Aurora silver plate handled holder.

The tapered cone shaped art glass vase fits perfectly into the fluted opening in the center of the frame. The glass has a flared top with a scalloped rim - edged in gold. A gold framed cartouche with a floral design on black decorates the front of the vase - more gold leaves and tendrils surround the frame as well as the top and back of the vase. Measures 7.25\" long, about 2\" wide at the shoulders, 2\" wide rim to rim.

Assembled height is 9.25\" tall

The silver plate holder looks a little like a chamber-stick but may actually be a calling card tray/receiver. It stands on 4 fancy feet decorated with a floral open work design that matches the handle. Measures 5\" high, 6.5\" long, 4.75\" wide. Marked: AURORA S.P. MFG. CO. / 1023 / Warranted / Triple Plate

Condition: GOOD - previously owned/used antique Art Glass & Victorian silver plate - one tiny rim chip on the Vase (front edge, hard to see) and some light wear to the hand painted decor - the Holder has considerable wear to the silver plate finish at the base of the vase holder, edges and underneath - No dents, breaks or missing parts -
