Georgian Etui Nessaire /Necessary Box #2Sterling Silver marked, with a name in a diamond, I think.Parcel Gilt and Silver, engine turned sceneof a fine housein center oval. Marked only for the maker in the front, in a wide diamond.Perhaps other marks are hidden under the velvet, but I have not torn them out to see.Velvet has pulled away slightly in places. It is fairly clean.
This is an rounded oblong Silver Boxwith blue velvet pockets inside for sewing or other items.No monogram in the cartouche, on reverse.
Hinged lid fits neatly, with a snap clasp.3 3/8\" by 2\"; or 8.5 by 5.5 cm1.6 troy ounces.
