This is a very nice Victorian period cut crystal and silver plate cruet set made by the Sheffield firm of James Dixon and Sons in about 1880. It consists of two stoppered bottles, a sugar sifter and a covered mustard pot.All of the crystal vessels are cut with a beautiful quilted prism pattern. One of the stoppered bottles appears to have a replaced stopper that is a bit big and stands a little proud. It is also chipped near the end (see photo). That said, it functions well as a stopper in this bottle. The mustard pot has an internal crack near the bottom. This crack does not come to the outside surface (see photo). The overall height of the cruet set is 8 3/4\" and the base is 5\" square. This nice little set could be put into useful service immediately.
