Victorian Silver Plated Toast Rack & Preserve Spoon - Royal Worcester Dish
Treat yourself (or better still a loved one) to a luxury Victorian style breakfastwith the combination of a Victorian toast rack and preserve spoon together witha Royal Worcester preserve dish.
The toast rack is made by Goodfellows & Son of London (photo 6). It sits on 4 bun feethas holders for the spoon and a circular carrying handle.There are one or two slightly discoloured areas (photo 5) but these are mostly hidden when the dish is
in place and may well get better with additional polishing
The spoon is by William W Harrison of Sheffield and is beautifully engraved on the bowlwith a butterfly and foliage. (photo 8) The handle is also nicely decorated and in addition it bears the Lozenge registration mark for 8 May 1881 (photo 4)The dish although not Victorian (its c1961) is a quality item made by Royal Worcester & is a perfect fit.
