Here is an ornate vesta case made of sterling silver in 1896. It is decorated with foliate scroll engraving. The hallmarks are Birmingham 1896. It is 1-3/4\" x 1-1/4\", and weighs 0.8 ounces (22.6 grams). It opens easily and snaps shut.
Fellows of Birmingham, England states the condition: \"General surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hallmarks are clear and legible; maker\'s mark to the vest is illegible.\"
