TINYPULL-DOWN, STAND-UP VALENTINE:

This is a cute pull-down valentine that is very small:3-1/4" tall. It is a simple valentine with "To My Love" on the pull-down flap and a single embossed diecut scrap of a cherub or angel carrying a garland of pink flowers.Card itself is unembossed, has blue air-brushing and scalloped edges. Stamped Made in Germany on the back, along with a "V"inside ofan"A"logo. Card is signed on the back and dated 1926. Size:3-3/4 x 3-3/4". Sweet pull-down valentine that is hard-to-find in this small size.

CONDITION:Normal age toning, particularly to back, signed on the back in pencil and dated 1929 in pen. There are some smudges on the back and a narrow pencil line. Light edge wear. Good condition.

The more descriptive I get, the longer the listing takes to write, so I will keep the details to a minimum. Asa collector, Itend to mention every little flaw in old vintage paper, so typically make the items out to be more damaged than they actually are. I never use the expression "great condition forage," as so many sellers do, because that expression says absolutely nothing. I have seen the same type of valentine ranging from poor to excellent condition. It all depends on how and where the vals were stored, how often they were handled, if they came from a scrapbook, were stored by themselves in a lidded box, clumped together with other paper, etc. Please have a good look at my photos which are integral to condition description. I am a very experienced buyer and seller of valentines, and a member of the National Valentine Association, for which I have had articles published about my adventures in the valentine buying and selling world. My listings are detailed and my photos numerous, but it has been my experience that photos sometimes make paper items look brighter, cleaner, and crisper than they actually are. Ihave begun taking photos under a white light which seems to help the clarity, but, again, these are antique and vintage items, including some very delicate paper lace masterpieces, and by their very nature,were fragile to begin with and often have not withstood the passage of time unscathed.

VALENTINESHIPPINGINFO:I do combo ship but there will be ahandling fee for each valentine added to the package to help with overhead. For multiple valentine purchases, postage will be exact (within one or two ounces for scale variation between my scale and the post office's) fortotal weight after items have been packaged, plus $2.00 handling fee for first item. Each additional valentine added to the package willincur a$1.25 handling fee. doesn't offer a seller discounts on multiple purchases to one buyer, so I must share some of the listing/FVF fees with my buyers.If the package weighs over 13 ounces, ithastobe shipped Priority; otherwise package will ship First Class. Theantique valentinesare fragile and require extra care in packaging. Valentines will be shipped with paper between each one, inserted into a plastic sleeve, then sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard and placed in a manila envelope or in a small, stiff cardboard envelope if size allows.

To be on the safe side, I chose 5, but Itypically ship in2 or 3days or even the day after payment is received. I ship one or two times a week depending on volume, more during the holiday seasons.
