I have what I believe to be a Vietnam-era helmet. It has a camouFlage cloth cover, a metal helmet shell, and a composite interior liner with adjustable head straps. The chin strap is here and is permanently attached to the metal shell. The interior liner is stamped \"Liner, Helmet Ground Troops Type 1 NSN 8470-00-935-6843 \" and the cloth camouFlage cover is stamped as you can see in the picture. I have researched and this is what I have come up with. I do not know about the exact era of this piece, you will have to be the judge.
