This is a scene of the Seine River in Paris. There are boats along the side and pedestrians walking on the walk next to them. There is a church on the hill and a bridge. The colors are a bit muted, but maybe the painting just needs to be cleaned.The signature looks like Erle Sacat, It is difficult to decifer the handwriting. Maybe someone else can figure it out.Writtin in pencil on the wood in the back is\" 60F Sans Cadie.\" It was probably bought by a tourist at an outdoor art market in Paris.The canvas is stretched over a 10 1/2 by 8 1/2 wooden frame. There are some tacks missing so the canvas is coming loose. There are some white spots of paint which I am not sure are original to the painting because they don\'t quite look right.The paining is pretty old . I am not sure of the date of creation,but it is probably mid-century.
