Beautiful Villeroy & Boch Mettlach \"Pinocchio\" lidded beer stein, made in Germany.The highly detailed and colorfulillustration of the story of Pinocchio which wraps around the stein was designed by Renee Faure.The top of the inlaid lid showsPinocchio as a puppet and a cricketdecorates the inside of the lid. A figural pewter thumblift in the shape of a gnome\'s head adorns the handle. The handle as well as the base are glazed in brown and green over a lovely raised design. This stein is part of a series of limited edition fairy tale themed beer steins made in theearly 1980s. It is numbered419 of 10,000.

The stein is made in the traditional Mettlach etched stoneware technique with the exquisite quality of craftsmanship for which Mettlach is known. The bottom is marked Villeroy & Boch along with the Mettlach \"castle\".

Measures approximately 8.5\" tall to the top of the pewter gnome with a base of about 4.5\" across. The capacity of the mug is 0.5L.
