THIS ITEM:This is a vintage ink blotter with the earliest Kellogg\'s litho advertising,dated 1907. It measures about 3.25 by 6.5 inches and is unused - no inkstains on the back at all. In the spring of 1907 a salesman from the Ketterlinus Lithographing Company of Philadelphia met with W.K. Kellogg and showed him the drawing of a smiling young woman in a gingham dress holding a sheaf of corn. Kellogg purchased the drawing, which would be called \"Sweetheart of the Corn\" This advertising distinguished Kellogg\'s products from the rest of the field and helped themdominate the market.

CONDITION: Complete and intact and unused. There is some light age toning and spotting around the edges, not distracting. Minor wear on the corners & edges, no rips, creases, or other damage. Displays very nicely.
