Offered here is a truly STUNNING vintage Art Deco era, solid 10k yellow gold (with rose and green gold accents on the face) opal solitaire ring, by vintage jewelry company Bock-Lewis of Buffalo, NY, with its inception in 1934. Opal is October\'s birthstone, in case you were wondering!This large opal has intense, incredible fire, with flashes of green, blue and orange in any lighting situation! The opal is not photoshopped--it\'s even nicer that the photos depict, with lots of color. This is a BIG OPAL measuring 12 x 10 mm--approximately 3.00 carats in size. Hard to believe for the age, but it is in very good condition--with no chips or cracks, just some minor surface scratches to be expected, which are only visible under high power magnification and not to the naked eye.The setting is primarily yellow gold, but if you look carefully at the border framing the opal, you\'ll see that there are little \"stripes\" of green gold and rose gold, as the tri-colored gold was used quite often in Art Deco era jewelry.This beautiful vintage 10k opal solitaire ring measures 3/4\" top to bottom, by 5/8\" side to side. It is hallmarked 10K with the Bock-Lewis B-L hallmark. It weighs 3.4 grams, and is in very good antique condition, especially considering its age.
