This is truly a stunning vintage piece in very good to excellent condition.

Awonderfulsize, at approximately11 3/4\"x 11\" - superbfor appetizers, shrimp, tidbits, fruit - even in a bathroom setting for soaps- very versatile. Stands 2\" from table top as it rises from 3 curved feet.Fabulous shell shaped interior surrounded by an ornate, yet eleganttop border consisting of flora motif. Beautiful lines to this piece. A quality, quite heavy and substantialpiece.

Marked on the reverse \"EPCA OLD ENGLISH BY POOLE 5925.\" The EPCA stands for electroplate on copper. Poole started in 1893 in Taunton, Massachusetts. It sold in 1971 to Towle in 1971.

Please note that this was NOT polished for the photographs, just taken directly out of storage. It has no dings or dents. Minimal to NOsurface scratches - I did see a couple small ones on the back,consistent with age and use - the ones that I couldlocate on the front I needed a magnifying glass tofind. I cannot say if all tarnish will come off after polishing. Wonderful patina on this piece as is.

Also please forgive me but I find it very difficult to take good photographs of silver plate, as it is so shiny and reflective, even without polishing. You may see other things reflected in the piece and that are not part of the piece.Some of these photos are reflectinglight from a lamp. Ask questions if you have any concerns. Thanks.
