Vintage 1920-1940\'s 10kt to 14kt Gold Stick Pin, no stone. This tests as 14kt on the crown of the pin - it does not have a stone. It is 2.5\" long. The pin tests as 10kt gold. It is possible the entire thing is 12kt gold as the pin tests very strong at 10kt and somewhat reactive at 14kt. The crown tests solidly at 14kt but could be slightly less - it is a brighter yellow gold than the pin part. The pin part does have some marks but not gold filled wear marks - just a little darker in spots. I have run into this before. There are no chipping or wear marks that you see with gold filled. It does not have magnetic reaction when tested with a rare earth magnet. The crown is very angled it has 8 prong like spikes that stand up - under magnification you can see that the tips have a little hook that looks like it would have held a stone in the open area however - it could be used as is as it looks somewhat like a thistle. It is not signed. This came from a Pa. Estate sale where items were from the late 1800\'s up through the 1970\'s. See photos. Good to very good condition (minus what I believe is a missing stone).
