Vintage 16\" Rushton Rubber Face Smiling Teddy Bear w Curly Hair

This has to be one of the cutest Rushton toy animals we have seen. She measures 16\" tall and comes with her Rushton body tag as shown in the photos. There is a little fraying around the edges but this does not affect the words on the tag. Collectors should be able to date this stuffed animal by the tag. She is also stamped The Rushton Co. under her chin. We have seen many of thesesmiling happybears with molded hair but this one also has curly hair over the molded hair which is so rare to find. Her face is just adorable and in wonderful condition. The body is firmly stuffed. Her head tends to fall back just slightly when she sits up which is most likely because of the weight of her head. There is a little surface dirt on her fur body if you wish to give her a light surface wash but she displays great the way she is. She came with both ribbons around her neck and we believe the brown one might be original.Be sure to look at all thephotos we have included in the sale.
