Every element of the design proudly owns the Art Decodesignation; from the silver and red inset to the red wood side handles to thehorizontal lines around the sides of the box, it is clear what design era thisbox dates from. Measuring a roomy 10 inches by 14 inches by 3 inches, the boxhas an inset medallion on its lid, a silver and red arrangement of lotusflowers. Condition is a little rough; as seen in the photos there are nicks andscratches as well as some chips in the front and left side. Most notablyalthough repairable is the separation in the back right seam. It’s a beautifulbox with a hinged lid and lots of history. Tender loving care and a little repair work will do wonders.
