Vintage 1920 Bayer & Bock Royal Rudolstadt porcelain Rose O\'Neill Wilson Kewpie plate
We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this Vintage/ Antique Kewpie doll porcelain plate.
This Porcelain plate was manufactured by Bayer & Bock Royal Rudolstadt of Germany. This plate is decorated with the artwork of Rose O\'Neill Wilson, the woman who created the Kewpie doll craze. The plate decoration is a transfer, with a bright gold lustre pinstripe along the plate rim. The back of the plate is marked with the Bayer & Bock Royal Rudolstadt makers mark (used between 1905 and 1920), as well as the Copyright for Mrs. Rose O\'Neill Wilson.
This Plate is approximately 7 inches in diameter, and it weighs 7.5 ounces.
Condition- The overall condition of this plate is excellent. The only issue we can see is the slight wear of the gold lustre accent on the plate rim. Other than this the plate has no chips, cracks, fractures, or abrasions.
If you are a collector of vintage/antique kewpie dolls, or all things kewpie, this plate will be a wonderful, treasured addition to your collection.
