  • The mic stand neck is nickel-plated with gorgeous nickel-plating over iron base 7\" in diameter...art-deco waterfall design. The stand is adjustable from 47\" to 65\". The base has it\'s original felt bottom. Mic stand locks and holds nicely in any height position.
  • The WDEB mic Flag was professionally cut out of one continuous piece of heavy gauge sheet metal, chromed, and mounted atop the mic ring.
  • Wired with original cloth insulated microphone cord terminating with a 1/4 phono plug.
  • The mic has not been tested as these carbon element require a special power supply.

The story behind this mic is very unique. The mic element, ring and stand are all original 1920\'s or early 30\'s. The radio station WDEB-AM began in 1979 in Jamestown, TN. At some point the station acquired this mic and stand and used it during live public performances,desiringa vintage throwback look onstage with the station call letters clearlyvisible to the audience.
This piece is the pride and joy of my vintage microphone collection, but for personal reasons must let it go. There is not another out there like it...give it a special place in your collection. There is no rust of corrosion on the mic element or stand. I have furnished the maximum amount of photos for complete physical detailing. As you can see in the photos, there was a small split in the top tier section of the metal overlay that covers the heavy stand base. Theseparationwas pressed out and epoxied in place.
