Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This offering is for a vintage 1920s Gillette Ball End Gold \"Debutante\" safety razor with no date code. The Debutante was produced from 1921-1928 and bears no date code.

It features an open comb guard and balanced ball-end handle. Teeth are straight and ready to shave. It will come to you in the original Debutante case with a maroon/ red covering over metal. In faded gilt you can see a Grecian key border and the name \"Gillette Debutante.\" The Debutante was a ladies razor but it is the same exact razor as the men\'s line.

Included: Razor, case, and \"Thin Gillette Blades\" found in box. The blade box has three wrapped and unused blades inside.

Case: Has some wear, cracking to the cover and a dent in the bottom. Hinge is still strong. Velvet liner is spotted and stained with the Gillette gilt logo faded and worn.

History: The Gillette Old Type was the original razor head produced by Gillette Safety Razor Co. It features open comb design with two stabilizer pins that keep the blade straight. These heads are known for their smooth yet aggressive shaves. These were the same model as featured in the WWI Khaki sets.
