Gorgeous Deanna DurbinCinderella FrockFrom \"Colonial Belle\" Range Of 1939 With Cardboard Hang Tag.
Hi. After 15 plus years of researching and collecting (primarily on US and UK) vintage original child star merchandise from the 1920\'s through to the 1960\'s I am downsizing my collection because it has simply grown too large for me to archive properly. So some of my treasures need to find good homes. Today I am offering something that I only ever got one opportunity to buy, a 1930\'sDeanna Durbin Cinderella Frock still with it\'s Hang Tag tiedonto the dress!. The seller I purchased this from about 10 years ago related that \"this dress was purchased from old store stock in Southern California in the late 1980\'s.\" This is a very pretty Deanna Durbin dress.I will now list the features of this dress:
* There is a fabric label sewn into the neckline and it says: \"A Cinderella Teen style, Deanna Durbin Brand. New Universal Pictures Star.\" The otherside says: \"Cinderella\'s Coach The Sign Of Smart Frocks\". There is also a size tag that says: \"size 16\".
*Cardboard Hang Tag has never been removed from the front zip of dress. Hang Tag reads: \" America\'s Sweetheart Of Screen and Radio. Sincerely Deanna Durbin By Courtesy Universal Picture Co Inc.\" Other side of hang tag reads: \" An Exclusive Deanna Durbin Fashion . A Touraine Product\".
* Great condition. Dress never worn or washed. Cotton fabric quite thick. Fabric feels starchy. Apart from a few patches of discoloration here and theredue to age the fabric is very clean. Lovely qualitybrass zip up the front of dress which works perfectly. Fabulous paisley and floral print in gorgeous pastel green, blue and pinky red against white. Wonderful self belt in perfect condition. Lovely original pleating to the front skirt of the dress still in place.
* Flaws are: The cardboard hang tag has a crease across its middle. There is a tiny piece of tape just above the hole where the string runs through. Some of the cotton has come away in 2 places about an inch long down the back seam of the dress. This has also happened just before the underarm of the puff sleeve and is also about an inch long. If desired this could easily bere stitched. There is a little bit of discoloration tothe fabric due to age here and there but overall the fabric is very clean and crisp.
* After muchresearching ofthis dress I finally found the ad for this dress in a rareissue of \"Cinderella CoachNews 1939\". This dress is from the \"Colonial Belle\" range of Deanna Durbin dresses and I have a photocopy of this ad which I will send to the buyer. I recently sold this issue of Cinderella Coach News.
*There are no odours to this item and my home is a non smoking and damp free Environment. Thank you for reading.
