GORGEOUS piece. Girl stands on a polished green stone base. Excellent antique condition. 2 small chips in side of hat see photos. Also a couple flakes in the paint. She also has green paint in some of the folds in the dress adds to the great look but not sure why the green is there. It is not tarnish it is paint.
51/2\" tall and the base is 2 1/2\" in diameter.J.B. Hirsch Foundry put out a series of these small decorative statues or paperweights in the 1930\'s based on the high end bronze and bone faced statues coming out of France by artists like Gerdago and Chiparus. Hirsch used ivorene or celluloid and pot metal to emulate them.
