A magnificent hard to find Effanbee Dy-Dee trunk that remains in remarkably clean and outstanding condition!
Referenced in Barbara Craig Hilliker\'s book, \"Effanbee\'s Dy-Dee, The Complete Collector\'s Book.\"Almost impossible to find an original vintage 1930s Effanbee Dy-Dee doll trunk that is in such fine condition as this one. The trunk is all original, retains all of its original brass hardware, all drawers are clean with no imperfections, is structurally sound with no cracks or water damage, has its original pink organdy ruffle quilt that remains in remarkably clean crisp unwashed condition, and its adorable graphics are still vibrant in color and free of blemishes. Absolutely beautiful clean condition. The exterior of the trunk has some slight cosmetic paper imperfections, and the only other imperfection is that the previous owner inserted two longer screws into the lid bracket to replace its original missing screws (please look at the photos). Can easily be fixed with shorter screws, yet is hidden with the placement of your doll and wardrobe. Doubt you will ever find an original Dy-Dee trunk in better condition than this one, anywhere. The trunk measures 14 1/4\" wide, 10\" tall, and 9 1/8\" in depth. Although designed for your 13\" Effanbee Dy-Dee Kin doll, the trunk can also accommodate your larger 15\" Dy-Dee Jane doll lying or sitting (please see photo), or your little 11\" Dy-Dee Ellen dolls. The last photo shows how beautiful these trunk\'s display when filled with your precious little Dy-Dee doll and her magnificent wardrobe. This trunk is from my own personal Dy-Dee doll collection, personally selected and lovingly cared for. sale is for the trunk and original pink quilt only, any other items in the last two photos are not included.
