Vintage 1930s Compact French Pastoral Music Scene Celluloid White Enamel Powder:

A cute 1930s compact! It measures 2.75\" in diameter and has a silver tone base. The front and back are in a shade of white enamel. The top center lift up area is celluloid covered. It has a nice detailed scene under the celluloid of a woman sitting as a man plays a lute and a woman sings while holding sheet music in a romantic pastoral scene. The back is all white enamel and shows normal surface wear. The compact closes tightly and hinge is good. Inside has a mirror on one side. The opposite side has the powder sifter area, and a puff.
The compact has very minor wear that is commensurate with age. This would make a fantastic addition to your compact collection or just a pretty display piece on your vanity.This item came from a large collection of related antique and vintage vanity and boudoir accessories from a longtime collector in Italy. I will be listing more items from her estate in the next few weeks including several of her high end perfume bottles.
