Vintage 1930\'s Czech Art Nouveau Deco Lapis Glass Sautoir Flapper This sale is for a detailed and beautifully made, Art Nouveau Lapis glass necklace, that was made in Czechoslovakia during the 1930\'s.This piece is silvertone measuring 24\" long and does not have a clasp so it slips over your head. This piece is not marked but I\'m confident that it is Czech made. The pendant drops another 5 1/4\" below that, is 1.5\" wide at its widest point, and is 1/4\" thick at its thickest point. This piece has colorful glass beads that are made to simulate Lapis in a variety of shapes and sizes with pretty flecking and tiny gold speckles. The smallest glass beads are 4mm in diameter and the glass cab in the pendant is 1.5\" long x 3/4\" wide at its widest point. The silvertone setting has filigree beads and cubes that give the necklace a lot of texture and visual interest. The pendant has a drop at the bottom that dangles freely giving the necklace a subtle amount of movement and sway when worn. It looks to me that there may be a little bit of irregularity to the setting at the very top of the drop, it looks a tiny bit crushed and irregular, but it is noticeable only on close inspection of the necklace. The pendant is framed by a filigree setting that is accented with bright blue rhinestones that are all bright and sparkly and all look original to the piece. There are no chips to the glass, the surfaces are smooth and gleaming, and the shapes are distinct and fresh looking. The silvertone setting is bright with very little darkening or discoloration and shows off all the detail. Overall this is a detailed and beautifully made, Art Nouveau Lapis glass necklace, that is from the 1930\'s and is in Excellent condition.
