Extremely rare, complete with hard to find original bonnet, perfect Ideal rayon tag, beautiful composition, all in near mint condition!
Referenced in Tonya Bervaldi-Camaratta\'s, \"Shirley Temple Dolls & Collectibles\" book, page 25. A beautiful doll in one of the rarest and prettiest Ideal outfits! This vintage 1930s Shirley Temple doll has a flawless composition, an original curly and soft mohair wig, clear enhanced hazel eyes, very good stringing, is correctly marked, and has been restored to perfection. Her composition has a natural matte finish (not glossy), beautiful and perfect painted features, slightly blushed cheeks, hands and knees (not overdone), perfect indented dimples, and all of her fingers and toes are accounted for. An absolutely exquisite pristine doll that is even nicer in person.
Not only is the doll perfection, her rare original luscious pink organdy \"Little Colonel\" outfit is in amazingly near mint condition. Underneath Shirley\'s preciously luscious dress is her original pristine white pantaloon onesie with an attached long half-slip. Her dress, her beautiful dress! Five beautiful ruffled petal tears of precious pink organdy; neckline tier, bodice tier, and three full ruffled tiers on the skirt. Scattered about are pink and blue satin ribbon floral embellishments, retains its original perfect Ideal rayon label tag, and its two original closure buttons are still attached. The extremely rare matching pink organdy bonnet has an exquisite wide stiff brim with gathered organdy, floral embellishments, a lavender feather (loose), and its original blue satin ribbon ties are still attached. Such a rare and beautiful Little Colonel outfit, complete with all three original pieces, and all pieces are in clean, display ready, and near mint conditon. One of the most sought after Shirley Temple doll outfits, and one of the sweetest!
