Presented here is a beautiful vintage 1936 art pottery handled vase by Roseville Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio, in the \"Primrose\" pattern. This spherical vase features assymetrically placed sprays of white primroses with green leaves in relief against a golden caramel-colored background glaze color that shades to a reddish brown at the top, handles sides, and bottom. The vase also features two angular handles. The bottom of the vase is marked with an impessed \"Roseville\" and \"285-6\"\", as well as a couple of letter marks handwritten in blue under the glaze. The body of this piece measures 6 1/8\" tall x 7\" wide. Handle-to-handle, it measures 8 3/4\". The condition of the vase is near mint, with no chips, cracks, repairs, or glaze losses. There is a normal light overall crackling of the glaze. A stunning piece of late Art Deco design, this 1936 vase by Roseville Pottery is the perfect piece with which to start, or add to, any collection of art pottery!
