Listing lots of vintage holiday greeting cards: valentines, including several penny, school exchange cards and large stand-ups, WWII-era cards from the 1940s, Christmas, Easter, etc., both at sale and in my store, DeVito\'s Books and TV Closeout Jewelry, so please have a look. Combo shipping always available.

Trying to keep descriptions to a minimum and to add enough photos so that details of condition may be seen. If you have any questions, please e-mail.

NOTE ABOUT DOMESTIC SHIPPING: Usually I ship First Class Letter rate for small cards to save buyers on postage. There is no tracking available on First Class Letter rate per the USPS. If you require tracking, please let me know before payment so that I can adjust your invoice accordingly to First Class Package rate (with tracking).

NOTE ABOUT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Please ignore the international shipping rate in my listings. If item is lightweight and small, such as a greeting card or two, I shall ship by International First Class Letter rate, which typically will be under $5US, and not the $15US that I am noticing in some of my listings, which is the significantly higher First Class Package rate. The higher FC Package rate would be used for magazines and books, etc., but not for cards. Unfortunately, now calculates at the Package rate for all First Class items. I shall keep international postal charges as low as I am able for card purchases, so don\'t let \'s calculated, expensive shipping rate deter you from shopping with me.

MY store: DEVITO\'S BOOKS-TV CLOSEOUT JEWELRY (not much jewelry left). My favorite things to list are old paper items, particularly greeting cards and antique and vintage holiday ephemera and decorations from New Year\'s to Christmas, trade cards, advertising postcards, vintage children\'s books (Scholastic, Berkley paperbacks and lots of fiction and nonfiction hardbacks}, magazines (My Weekly Reader, teen fashion and music magazines (Ingenue, American Girl, Polly Pigtails, Teen, Seventeen, 16, Tiger Beat, etc.) and vintage movie and TV stars\' magazines, to name just a few categories of regularly-listed items.  I also stock all sorts of antique and vintage items found here and there around New England since 1984, along with some new items, including Crabtree and Evelyn products. I never know what I\'ll be unearthing and listing next, so please bookmark my store or follow me and receive automatic updates when new items are added. I post new listings every week.

CART: See below for how to manage your cart and save P&H on multiple items from one seller.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR CART:
sale:  If you win an sale or multiple sales, each will automatically be listed in your Cart. An sale win means the item(s) is/are now yours, whether it/they has/have been paid for immediately or not yet paid.
BUY-IT-NOW (BIN) OR FIXED PRICE: If you want to purchase a non-sale item or items, every non-sale listing gives you the choice to BUY-IT-NOW, ADD TO CART, or WATCH. BIN items are not automatically added to your cart, so you must select that option in the listing you are viewing. When you do, your shopping will not be interrupted (you will not automatically be taken to your Cart screen), but you will see the \"Add to Cart\" in listing change to \"View in Cart\", so when you are done shopping, just go to your Cart and all your added items will pop up.
Each BIN item added to your cart does not belong to you, nor is it reserved for you, until you pay for it or, if you have multiple items from same seller in your Cart, until you CONFIRM the purchases (which precedes your payment). In this case, confirmation means that yes, you want these items and that you have requested the seller combine your purchases, adjust the P&H accordingly, and send you a new total. ( will also automatically \"combine\" your purchases, but they will charge you full P&H for EACH item). At the top of each section of grouped items to purchase from the same seller, click on the \"Request Total From Seller,\" after which you will see a screen that shows these items are now yours and instructs you to pay once the seller sends you a new invoice.
Unfortunately, you can only request a new invoice when you have decided to purchase at least two same-seller BIN items. You can not confirm (or even reserve) each item as you find it on , nor as you add it to your Cart, so it is possible that while you are still shopping, and adding items to your Cart from the same seller, another buyer could buy some of the items you have in your Cart before you have a chance to finish shopping with one seller and before you request a new total.  I use the Cart a lot and can\'t remember ever losing an item to another buyer when I was still shopping, but it could happen. However, with millions of items available, there\'s plenty of good stuff to go around.

GOOD TO KNOW:
1. You may combine sale wins and BIN items from same seller on one invoice to save on shipping.

2. When you add BIN items to your cart, you may always easily delete them or save for later. BINs will disappear from your Cart\'s main screen, but if you have saved them, you will be able to bring them up again and the Cart will remind you that you have items saved for later.

3. It\'s direct communication with the seller that results in discounts for the multiple-purchase buyer. Yes, you will always see \"Pay Now\" or an automatic Cart invoice that shows the total of your purchases from one or many sellers, but if you want shipping combined, IGNORE all that. That is not the seller asking for payment.

4. If you do pay for same-seller multiple items individually, most sellers will not refund any shipping overages even when items ship together, so don\'t be so quick to hit the Pay Now button. If it\'s one sale win (or several),  it\'s yours, paid now or later; if it\'s multiple BIN items, add them to your Cart and confirm they are also yours as you wait for seller\'s new invoice. Of course, if you are sure you are just buying one sale or one BIN item from one seller, hit that Pay Now button.

5. It\'s always a good idea to let a seller know if you are offerding on more sales or that you are looking at his or her store and may also be purchasing some BIN items. I encourage my buyers to tell me when they are done offerding and shopping, rather than send an unrequested invoice for which they are not yet ready.

6. Finally, the Cart feature can be confusing because you can add BIN items to your cart whenever you want, but if you don\'t request an invoice for multiple BIN purchases from same seller or if you don\'t pay for a single BIN item pronto, anyone else can come along and buy while you are still thinking. I have a lot of BINs in my Cart that I\'m just watching, not yet sure if I want to buy them, but knowing that I can lose them, too, at any time from another buyer or if the listing ends before I have made up my mind. If I really want any BIN  items, I have to either pay (for single item) or Request Total/Invoice (for multiple items) from seller.

So, that\'s how the Cart works. I was not a fan of the Cart when it first appeared but now I can’t live without it. To have my sale purchases and prospective BIN purchases all in one place, along with links to sellers is a perfect way to stay organized for buyers and sellers alike.
