A little History and Information:By the 1930s, Royal had long since grown to be one of the leading typewriter companies, firmly established along with Underwood and Remington as one of the Big Three. This Desk Model is an appealing updated version of the Royal No. 10, known as one of the best manual machines ever made.Note the curved scale incorporated into the right-side panel. It\'s the indicator for a touch-control adjustment wheel located at the lower center of the back of the machine.

Typewriter Restoration:Unless otherwise noted, all of our vintage typewriters have been restored to their “as designed mechanical condition”. I have been a professional typewriter repair technician for going on 11 years. Each machine is cleaned, oiled and mechanically adjusted or repaired. All parts are original unless otherwise stated. Some damaged original parts may be replaced by parts from identical typewriters or new reproduction parts, if appropriate. Mechanical and Cosmetic Disposition:Thank you for considering thisusedvintagemachine that has been around for \"77 years\".For yourreassurance we alwaysdescribe our machines meticulouslyno matter how small the details.This is a very nicecollectible machine and we want you to know there are a few things about this machine, that you should be aware of.

Note: This machine is not completely original and has been worked on, some parts may have been replaced in order for it to function as designed.

There is some minor wear showing on the platen roll knobs from use and a minor chip on the left side edge of the Platen roll. There are some minor surface pitting on some of the non painted metal surfaces. There are some minor surface imperfections on the painted surfaces (scuffs, chips, scratches etc), as expected on a machine this old.This machine is mechanically very sound and works as designed. We also installed a new Black and Red ribbon on the machine.Overall, this machinefor being around for77 years,is an awesome collectible inexcellentusablecondition.

The Decalsare faded but are stillpresent and in readablecondition.

The mechanics have beenmeticulouslytested and will be tested again before we package the machine for shipment.

The shinny Chrome & Glass capped keysare Black with WhiteCharacters although the keys appear to be stained more like a tea color than white.

The carriage return is nice and smooth

Note on Shipping Cost:This is heavy and fragile machine and will require extra protection for shipment. It will beshippedwith an internal wood protective skeletal frame designed to fit the inside the shipping box.
