Vintage 1940 50s Wood Laquer Trinket Box Inlaid German Stars

This is a neat old black lacquer large trinket box with lid from an estate. The box measures 2\" and has a diameter across the top of 5\". Made of wood and painted a black lacquer, the box has inlaid wood German stars, diamond shapes, and arrows around the side and lid. The box is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Due to its age, the lacquer as well as paint is flaking off. The box is from the 1940s or possibly 1950s. It might be older that that but that\'s only a guess. I think it was made in Japan but again, that is only a guess. The remains of a paper sticker are on the bottom but no writing or marks.
