Lovely blue knit Palmer of Burlingame label dress
I believe this dress is from the 1940\'s based on the estate it was acquired from and the style.
This dress is a beautiful blue thick knit-it isNOT a soft knit-it looks like tiny woven ribbon-the collar line has ribbon accents. The dress has a side zipper, there is a seam pull at the zipper that needs a mend-the zipper is tricky right in that area. The bias tape at waist seam has come up inside (see picture)The dress is in otherwise excellent condition with no stains notedand aperfect addition to any ones fall taken with dress laying flat
48\" from shoulder down to hemline
15\" across arm pit to arm pit
9\" sleeve inseam
13\" across waist area(un stretched)
17\" across hip area-will stretch to 18\"
21\" from shoulder to seam at middle of dress
Remember there is a side zip-I do not believe this dress could entertain over a 36\" hip
