Recently purchased at an Estate sale in my area and now up for your saleing pleasure is this vintage (full, unopened box) of FAB cleanser. This Fab cleanser was produced sometime between 1947 and 1953. This timeline was taken from an internet search on their Company website. It shows that the merger between Colgate-Palmolive-Peet took place in 1928. The products of both Fab and Ajax cleansers were introduced in 1947 and in 1953 the name was changed to the Colgate-Palmolive Co. This box of Fab up for sale contains the latter name of the Company.
This vintage Large Size FAB cleanser, as previously stated is full and unopened in its original box. The box had been wrapped in a clear, plastic cover which has definitely done a good job protecting it. You can see that the graphics and colors used are bright and clear. The writng is clean and legible. There does appear to be some yellowing and/or discoloration to the white portions of the box. There also may be a tiny mark or two and some light edge and corner wear but for the most part, this box of Fab is in extraordinary condition and you will be hard pressed to find another like it. You can only imagine that most were used for washing clothes and dishes, used up and then disposed of. The box dimensions are approx. 8 5/8\"T x 6\"W x 2 1/4\" thick and weighs approx. 1lb 6oz.
