You are looking atbeautifuland rare 1940\'s eraCrystal microphone.
I don\'t know much about these particular microphone other than was I see as there is not much out there on this model.
This is a Ronette R-474 multi crystal microphone made in Holland. As you can see in picture # 5 the original element is still intact and quite unusual but it was loose inside the microphone when I got it so it was removed to prevent any further damage to the element or microphone. The element will be shipped with the microphone.
This mic is very similar to the early crystal and ribbon microphones of the day and even has the same tilting mechanism to give the mic a wide degree of angle. The mic is 100% complete down to the screws. The chrome is in fantastic shape and I spent a good deal of time cleaning off the corrosion. The wire mesh screens look amazing too and still have the original liners. the pistol grip still has the original paint and while there is typical wear...it still has a nice glossy sheen. The original Ronette badge is still legible.
The tightening screws on both sides are extremely nice and do their job with ease locking the mic itself into place. The mic measures 7 inches high X 4 inches wide X 2 inches deep. It has some good size to it and if one wanted to install a real nice element inside it could certainly be done as there is tons of room to work with.
