Vintage 1940\'s Sparton Radio Model 590-1 AC/DC Portable w/ Batteries This radio is being offered as is / as shown / for parts or repair. In addition to the comments above in my seller notes potential buyers should note this 75 year old radio has some scuffing and stains, wear thru and splitting of the tweed, the original handle is missing and the wood case has some warpage around the back. The previous owner has cut some removable wood blocks to secure the batteries in place. The AC power cord and plug appear original as do the power on and tuning knobs. A nice item for a restoration project.
