Charming & Collectible, , Free ShippingThis is a wonderful vintage sewing tape measure manufactured by the United Device Corporation of Great Neck, New York in the 1940s/50s. The figural red plastic apple holds three feet of tape which locks in place with a twist of the stem. Marked on the underside for United Device Corp.
In overall very good condition with minor surface abrasions. There are two small flakes along the seam. There is scuffing and abrasions to the center of the tape due to rubbing against the underside of the stem. The tape pulls out and retracts smoothly. The stem locks in place. This condition is consistent with age and use. Measures 2 3/8\" tall with a diameter of 1 3/4\". The 3\' tape is 1/4\" wide. This fun measuring tape will make a great addition to your sewing basket.
