This listing is for an original vintage 1940s tilt topper hat in red straw and navy blue felt. The body of this topper is made from fine red straw in glossy primary lipstick red with a huge bow resting at the meeting point between the brim and crown. The bow is accented with navy blue fur felt trim that echoes the design and wraps around the crown. Fine navy netting forms the veil and features whimsical velvet polka dots and tiny bows. This topper is held in place with an elasticated sustaining band done in the navy fur felt. There are no labels in this hat and the size seems to be universal due to the tilt style and flexible sustaining band. This bright vintage topper makes an even bigger statement when worn with a hair snood as shown in the last photo. Snood is NOT included in this sale, only the tilt hat. Apart from a few small breaks in the veil, this hat has no other condition issues. It is clean, sound, and ready to wear.
