Unusual, rare, unique print entitled \"Gingerbread Castle\" with Hanzel and Gretel. The artist O. Newman depicts, in 1948, the unusual structure located in Hamburg, NJ. Originally designed and constructed by Joseph Urbans in 1928, you can read about this unusual attraction online, in books, historical writings as well as in the popular book Weird New Jersey. The print itself, for being 70 years old, is intact and the colors are still very nice. Some water damage on the reverse. The original mat is in good condition. Down in the lower right corner is the artist signature, O. Newman and 1948. The matting specifies this to be the Gingerbread Castle. Print is affixed to mat. A rare find of a time gone by in New Jersey and the USA. Print size is about 10 1/8 inches by 11 3/4 inches. The size with the mat is about 14 X 17. Please feel free to email any questions. Unframed.
