Description
An absolutely stunning 1950’s party dress in two complementary shades of chiffon organza. The style typifies the 50’s - oh so feminine and figure flattering – with a bust enhancing bodice - perfect to accentuate a narrow waist. What makes this dress extra special is the two tone ombre effect - the main body of the dress is a soft coral pink, while the shawl collar and rear sashes are the palest shell pink. There are three layers to the skirt – a matching coral satin acetate lining, a middle single layer of coral tulle, topped by a floating overlayer of coral chiffon. No maker’s label remains but this dress appears professionally made. No fabric contents label, but this is a synthetic, likely nylon blend. Note the special details on this lovely dress – ruched bust enhancing bodice, flattering cowl neckline, fabulous twirling full skirt, and especially the rear treatment with double sashes.The dress is photographed using a crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included. The dress closes down the centre back with a hidden metal zipper. The entire dress is lined in matching coral satin acetate. No vintage size label, so please see measurements below for proper fit. This is an extra small size, which would best fit a modern size 0 or 2.

Condition
This dress is in very good vintage condition. No stains and underarms are clean. No significant holes or tears. There are numerous snags and picks throughout, typical of chiffon dresses of this vintage and a few tiny holes, which are inconspicuous. Note the bottom 1\" of the zipper has been stitched closed as several teeth were broken. The zipper still functions well above this point.

Returns
All items are sold as final sales, unless a significant flaw has inadvertently not been disclosed. I do my best to accurately describe every item and any significant flaws will be mentioned in the description. Of course it is possible to overlook something and if this occurs, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to resolve the issue. I cannot accept returns for items that do not fit – measurements are taken carefully so please ensure that these match your own before offerding.
Please keep in mind that vintage items are not new, and as such are rarely in perfect condition. Unless otherwise stated, all items have been worn and show some degree of wear. Small imperfections are inherent in vintage garments and add character to the pieces.

Shipping
Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped expedited parcel via Canada Post, with tracking and insurance. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
International buyers are welcome. International shipments will be priced on an individual basis and generally will be higher. If you would like an international shipping quote before purchasing, please send me an email. Insurance is recommended on international shipments, as I cannot be responsible for loss or damaged parcels if insurance is not purchased.
