Description
An absolutely lovely strapless original 1950’s party/prom dress in an enchanting confection of baby pink lace, tulle and satin ribbon. The soft shade of pink is ethereal and very romantic. This dress was likely originally designed as a wedding or prom gown and is certainly lovely enough to be worn at a very special occasion. No maker’s label but this dress appears professionally made. No fabric contents label but this is likely a synthetic blend.
Note the details on this stunning dress – the strapless (boned) form fitting lace bodice with pleated tulle accent at the neckline, piped satin waistline, satin ribbon accent under the bustline, and the very full tiered tulle skirt, trimmed with cascading layers of lace trimmed in floral embroidery. There are three layers to this skirt – a lining of baby pink satin acetate, a single middle layer of pink tulle to give the skirt additional volume, topped with a layer of tiered baby pink embroidered lace backed by tulle netting.
This dress closes down the rear with a hidden metal zipper and fastener. The entire dress is lined in matching baby pink satin acetate. The dress is photographed using a crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.
No vintage size label, so please see measurements below for a proper fit. This is an extrasmall size which would best fit a modern size 0 or 2.

Condition
This dress is in excellent vintage condition. No stains and underarms are clean. No significant tears in the lace. There is a vertical repair to the lowest tier of lace on the skirt. No significant defects to note.

Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped airmail via Canada Post, which includes insurance up to $100. The shipping price below applies to Canada and US shipments only. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
