Description
An absolutely drop dead gorgeous strapless 1950’s prom dress in a breathtaking confection of dusky lilac tulle, pink taffeta and silver lame. The perfect dress with which to turn heads at the approaching prom season ! This gown has fairy princess written all over it. It would also make a sensational wedding gown. The two tone combination of lilac over rose is soft and romantic and the metallic lame accent is quite stunning. When the silver catches the light it is iridescent. No maker\'s label remains, but this dress appears professionally made. No fabric contents label but this is likely a synthetic blend.
Note the special details on this amazing dress – strapless boned tulle wrapped bodice with sweetheart neckline, and especially the very full tulle skirt decorated with painted floral bouquet accents. There are three layers to this skirt – a lining in dusty rose satin acetate, a middle tiered layer of lilac tulle to give the skirt additional volume, topped by an outer layer of painted tulle.
This dress closes down the side with a metal zipper and fastener. The entire dress is lined in dusty rose satin acetate. The dress is photographed using a crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.
No vintage size label, so please see measurements below for a proper fit. This is an extra small size that would likely best fit a modern size 0 or 2.

Condition
This dress is in excellent vintage condition. No stains or discoloration and underarms are clean. Only one minor mention - a small repair to the tulle on the rear skirt. This repair was professionally done using transparent thread and is visible only on close inspection.

Returns
All items are sold as final sales, unless a significant flaw has inadvertently not been disclosed. I do my best to accurately describe every item and any significant flaws will be mentioned in the description. Of course it is possible to overlook something and if this occurs, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to resolve the issue. I cannot accept returns for items that do not fit – measurements are taken carefully so please ensure that these match your own before offerding.
Please keep in mind that vintage items are not new, and as such are rarely in perfect condition. Unless otherwise stated, all items have been worn and show some degree of wear. Small imperfections are inherent in vintage garments and add character to the pieces.

Shipping
Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped expedited parcel via Canada Post, with tracking and insurance. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
International buyers are welcome. International shipments will be priced on an individual basis and generally will be higher. If you would like an international shipping quote before purchasing, please send me an email. Insurance is recommended on international shipments, as I cannot be responsible for loss or damaged parcels if insurance is not purchased.
