Description
An absolutely drop dead gorgeous strapless 1950’s prom dress in a breathtaking confection of white tulle and silver metallic lace. The perfect dress with which to turn heads at the approaching prom season ! This gown has fairy princess written all over it. It would also make a sensational wedding gown. The color is soft and romantic and the metallic lace accent is simply stunning. When the silver paint catches the light it is iridescent. Maker\'s label reads \"Kerrybrooke\", which at one time was a line sold through the US department store, Sears, Roebuck & Company. No fabric contents label but this is likely a synthetic blend.
Note the special details on this amazing dress – strapless boned lace wrapped bodice with sweetheart neckline and pleated tulle accent, lovely millinery flower accent underneath the bustline, lace overlay cape, and of course the incredibly full tulle skirt. There are three layers to this skirt – a lining in ivory satin acetate, a middle single layer of white tulle to give the skirt additional volume, topped by an outer layer of metallic silver lace.
This dress closes down the rear with a hidden metal zipper and fastener. The entire dress is lined in ivory satin acetate. The dress is photographed using a crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.
No vintage size label, so please see measurements below for a proper fit. This is a small size that would likely best fit a modern size 0 or 2.

Condition
This dress is in excellent vintage condition. The exterior is virtually pristine. No stains or discoloration and underarms are clean. The tulle and lace are still crisp. There are no obvious signs that this dress was ever worn.Amazingly, I found no obvious tears in the lace. With this volume of fabric, I am reluctant to guarantee that I have not missed a tiny break, but if so, it is inconspicuous.
I noticed some pale pencil colored marks on the lower rear skirt lining which would likely respond to dry cleaning but are not visible through the outer lace layer.

Returns

I cannot accept returns for items that do not fit – measurements are taken carefully so please ensure that these match your own before offerding.

Shipping
Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped expedited parcel via Canada Post, with tracking and insurance. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
International buyers are welcome. International shipments will be priced on an individual basis and generally will be higher. If you would like an international shipping quote before purchasing, please send me an email. Insurance is recommended on international shipments, as I cannot be responsible for loss or damaged parcels if insurance is not purchased.
