You are looking at a somewhat rare find. A 1950\'s era E.V model 345 dual shock mount used on certain E.V microphones (as well as many other American microphones) to reduce unwanted response while the microphone mounted to it was live. E.V developed this shock mount to \"prevent reproduction of external shocks and stand vibrations.\"
This all metal construction with satin chrome finish is quite sturdy and well constructed. As you can see there is typical but lite wear on this 345 in the form of small scuffs, scratches and a couple small dings but otherwise very good cosmetically. Still works like new.
It should be noted that this shock mount can only be used on certain E.V model microphones such as the 731, 725, 726, 650, V-1 and the larger V-2 and V-3 series microphones. The smaller E.V mics don\'t have enough clearance between the shock mount and where the cable attaches so PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHICH MIC YOU\'LL BE USING THIS ON BEFORE BUYING SO THAT I CAN CONFIRM THAT IT WILL ACTUALLY WORK WITH YOUR MICROPHONE.
