I would like to preface by saying that I am not a doll collector and know very little about old dolls, aside from browsing around online and trying to educate myself and figure things out. I am long retired now, and unboxing my belongings from childhood, and selling many of these things, including the dolls that my parents bought me in the 1950\'s. We visited England, Scotland, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and bought a few dolls from each of these countries. As I find them, I will be posting them on for sale. I will do my best to describe them, but when it comes to the kind of plastic, rubber, vinyl, etc... that they are made of, I am especially not too savvy, so PLEASE feel free to ask questions if you have them. I will be happy to get right back to you. Also, if you offer on more than one of my items and win those sales, I will be happy to combine shipping.
This 8\" plastic doll has \"Roddy\" marked on her back,along with \"Made in England\", which is where my parents bought her for me. Her arms move (very loose) but not her legs. Her eyes open and close (but not 100%) but with help only. She has a little ticket on her dress, with the word \"Gand\" on it, and I do not know the significance of that. She has on a hat, but an even bigger one comes with her, and it is not attached. The lace on her dress and lace underwear are lovely. Her petticoat is pink satin or taffeta. Her clothing is a discolored / faded, due to her advanced age, but in quite nice condition for being 60+ years old.
