Gorgeous 1950\'s Larry Aldrich Peachy Satin Sequin Beaded Wiggle Dress
This dress is insanely gorgeous with so much glamour! Featuring a bombshell hourglass silhouette, flutter sleeves, and hand-sewn translucent sequins in a vibrant pink and a peachy iridescence with complimentary glass seed beads. The dress is down entirely in peach satin and fully lined in a sheer supple nylon. Beautifully constructed with amazing attention to detail. The satin fabric is flawless - no discoloration or damage and all seams are sound and secure.
Condition: Mendable
Condition Issues:
- continued sequin loss - predominantly the peach sequins - with only a few identified areas of noticeable loss (see photos). Loose strands will need to be secured in order to deem this dress wearable. No damage has been caused by the loss, however reattachment of sequins will take time.
- it appears that someone had cut from the dress length and hemmed. I have dropped this hem - a more conservative hem will need to be added. I believe this was at one time a full gown and is now calf length.
- one of the zipper teeth has become offset - could be rectified with needle nose pliers. The \"track derailment\" is near the end of the zipper so the dress can still be worn without this repair. The only reason I am not repairing her is because I had some unexpected expenses pop up that need immediate attention so ... my project pile is taking the blunt.
