This nice piece comes to you from a small collection of vintage hand tools and measuring devices that my father and I have collected over a 40+ year period that has never seen the collecting hobby until this listing here today.
Very nice, true vintage, once used and since long stored away condition. Shows light wear from use and storage over the years, including typical marks, scratches, and light soiling. No major issues at all and is in really nice preserved condition. Dial spins very smoothly, is very accurate, and does not appear to be off. Probably could use a good oiling to preserve it further. Clearly marked by the maker on the dial GEO. SCHERR CO. NEW YORK. I correctly believe this tool to be made in the 1950s era, but it could be earlier than that.
A great true vintage, once made in the USA, quality tool! Would be great if you collect vintage measuring tools or you\'re looking for a quality piece like this for your own tool box!
